Let me Introduce Myself

For as long as I can remember, I have been a highly sensitive and empathic person.
Even as a little girl I could always sense the emotions of others and had a natural healing ability. I was brought up in a very nurturing home with lots of time and education in nature and encouraged to explore my spirituality. My parents both had degrees in horticulture so my sister and I grew up helping in the garden growing vegetables, herbs and flowers. My father was an herbalist and always a seeker, exploring different religions and taught me a lot about eastern philosophy. My mother was a florist and worked as a bereavement & spiritual counsellor. She also explored alternative medicine and practiced therapeutic touch. She took us to Naturopaths and Allopaths, so growing up I understood the strength and value of traditional and alternative medicine, and that healing naturally was always the best route when possible.

I base my practice on my years of clinical training and evidence based medicine and therapies, and use my intuitive abilities as a guide. Its part of what makes me unique as a practitioner and therapist. Many times before seeing a new patient or before an appointment with a current one, I will have dreams or something will come up in meditation before a session that will prove very useful. I use this information as an opening for a difficult conversation, or a focal point for healing that we might not have gotten to otherwise. Alongside proper treatment plans using evidence based medicine and therapies, my healing & therapy sessions are highly efficacious.
My parents took me to many Satsangs and group meditations. I remember the the power of group chanting and sitting in silent meditation at a very young age. I was always encouraged to ask questions and explore what my spirituality meant to me. I was taught the power of dreaming and the importance it played in our everyday waking life. I have kept a dream journal since the age of 10 and still use it as a tool in my life and in my professional practice to this day.
Around the same age, I use to practice energy healing and viewing the Bio-field on my dog and plants in my room before I understood academically what I was doing. I can see energy fields and Auras around people and living things, and I understood very young that I had a gift. I am highly intuitive and have a clairvoyant or “clear seeing” ability. This is something that runs in my family. Sometimes it comes as an image in my minds eye, a feeling in my body, a thought or message, or an experience in my dreams. It can be something big like knowing when someone is going to pass away, or more often, something that can help in the practical everyday like what route to take when driving, or what my office looked like before I rented it. I like to think of it as my internal GPS, that we all have, and can all learn how to use to navigate life. It’s something that took me decades to understand and hone my skills and also, to release any shame and stigma attached to my gifts. It is a part of me that I am very proud of and I honour by using while in service to others.

I started my career as a Personal Trainer, group fitness instructor and Coach working in several fitness facilities in Ontario.
I worked with clients creating customized exercise and nutritional programs. I also worked in a health food store advising customers on supplements and seeing clients in a small office in the back of the store for wellness counselling. From there I went on to study several modalities and topics over a 10 year period including psychology, counselling, behavioural science, health sciences, energy healing, alternative medicine, shamanic medicine, and mindfulness meditation. My studies took me to several institutions and locations including the University of Toronto, The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, several online courses, the Beck Institute, and to a monastery in England where I completed my Reiki Master training and was the last group in the world to hold our graduation ceremony inside Stonehenge.
I also completed intuitive training in Lily Dale New York, a spiritualist community where I gave several readings with great accuracy.
I have had the blessing to study with talented healers, physicians, therapists, intuitives, and medicine men and women that have guided me to be the practitioner I am today.

Having an online practice allows me to live immersed deep in nature which is essential for my wellbeing. I combine Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Meditation, Hypnotherapy and Reiki to treat a variety of mental health and wellness conditions. As well, combining my knowledge of Nutrition and Lifestyle as an adjunctive care for the patients overall wellbeing. I have worked with hundreds and hundreds of people throughout my career and have experience working with anxiety disorders, depression, body image and disordered eating, stress, addiction, cancer, trauma, insomnia, phobias, chronic pain, grief, and common struggles in everyday life. I am honoured to work with each and every person that comes to me and will always be learning and growing as I continue to dedicate my work in the field of healing.

Over the years I have had several offices, staff, one large healing Centre, and have finally landed in online private practice working out of the comfort of my home.
